  • We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to support our growing portfolio of office and medical projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has strong technical skills with a good design sense. You will be involved in all aspects of the design process—from concept development and space planning to detailed drawing production and construction coordination.  The position reports to our senior designer and VP of client projects with lots of opportunities to collaborate with other team members.

  • · Develop effective floor plans that optimize function, communicate through well laid out presentation materials, and design concepts that (cost effectively) wow our clients.

    · Regularly prepare detailed drawing sets with layouts, demolition, RCP, millwork, finishes, and furniture plans

    · Assist in selecting and specifying finishes, fixtures, furniture, and equipment with client input and while always searching for better finishes to propose when needed

    · Coordinate and cross collaborate with internal project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors

    · Work with the consultant to ensure drawings comply with applicable codes and accessibility standards (OBC/AODA)

    · Support construction and permit documentation processes by monitoring all documents and giving a heads up when needed

    · Bring a high level of positive energy in your participation in client presentations, biweekly project meetings and site visits

    · Help maintain consistency in design standards and internal systems and always use your imagination to propose even better design standards

  • · Portfolio required

    · In-person attendance at the office to collaborate with the team

    · Diploma or degree in Interior Design (and more experience welcomed!)

    · NCIDQ Certification is a strong asset

    · Minimum 3 years of experience in an interior design or architecture firm

    · Commercial interior design experience is preferred

    · Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and MS Office Suite and ability to review drawings for quality.

    · Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and AODA regulations

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    · Attention to detail and accuracy in all work

    · Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative team environment
